Your surgeon will begin by making an incision on your forehead to mark where your new hairline will land. A second incision is made where it currently falls. Next, the skin between these incisions is separated from the connective tissue. Your hairline is pulled down to meet the second incision, which creates a more proportioned forehead.

The procedure is completed carefully to ensure that all nerves and hair follicles are fully preserved. The incisions are hidden in your hairline, so scarring will be nearly imperceptible; new hair will also grow through the scar, further obscuring it from view.
