Today’s breast augmentation focuses on creating breasts that reflect body proportions and enhance femininity without going overboard. More women are choosing smaller implant sizes and, in some cases, exchanging existing implants for smaller replacements.
Finding Your Size
Breast augmentation is a highly customizable procedure, and size is one of the most significant factors. There are a few things worth keeping in mind as you consider potential sizes.
- Cup size isn’t everything. Cup sizes aren’t a great measure to go by since cup sizes look different on each body and sizes aren’t standardized. We measure implants in “cc,” or cubic centimeters, which provides specific information. I provide implant sizers during consultations that allow you to “try on” your new size so you can see how it will look on your own body.
- Be open to your surgeon’s recommendations. Having an idea of what you want and being inspired by other women’s bodies is a great place to start. However, I also encourage patients looking for natural results to be open to recommendations that will introduce you to all possibilities. I have years of experience using various implant sizes on different body types, and I use this expertise to provide thoughtful guidance during each consultation.
- It’s all about proportion. While certain breast implant sizes may look great on certain bodies, the key is selecting a size and shape ideal to your unique frame. The right size will bring your proportions into harmony. This is the key to creating a feminine shape that still looks natural.
